I've missed creating! We are finally getting settled into a new place, job, school and area! Everything has been crazy but we already love Durham. There is culture, history, parks, SIDEWALKS(never knew how much I would miss those) and I could just go on, I'm so excited to be here!
Anyways, enough of my blabbering and onto a fairly simple little craft- the bottle cap magnet. I've always thought these were neat, but the ones I've seen sit snug against the fridge door and if you slide them, the door gets scratched. I decided to bump out the magnet so you're left with a cute cap without leaving scratches on the fridge.
- Big magnet
- Small magnet
- Bottle caps
- Craft Glue
Once you have your supplies, wipe off the back of the bottle cap to remove any residue beverage. Apply a small dab of your glue and place the smaller magnet onto the cap, this small magnet is what allows the bigger magnet to extend out farther from than the bottle cap and gives the no scratch gap when done. I then went ahead and put a dab of glue onto the small magnet and placed the big magnet on, then let dry completely before placing on the fridge.
I've decided that making a magnet out of each bottle cap will be our way of keeping track of all the unique beverages we try, especially with all the new locally brewed beverages there are to sample!
I love a quick and simple little craft to get the creative juices flowing again!
